Privacy during the WALKED beta
Effective October 7, 2026. This short notice covers the WALKED beta signup form at trywalked.com/beta/. Questions: [email protected].
What the beta form collects
- Your name and email address
- The state that issued your home inspector license, and your license number
- How many years you’ve been inspecting
- The software you use today (optional)
- About how many inspections you do per month
- Whether you said it’s OK for us to email you about the beta
To keep spam out, we also keep a record of each form attempt (the time, your IP address and, for a successful signup, your email).
Why we collect it
- To verify your license before anyone gets into the beta. We check license numbers by hand against the issuing state’s public lookup.
- To run the beta: pick who gets the 10 spots, contact you about your spot, and learn what inspectors need.
- To stop spam and abuse of the form.
Who sees it and where it’s stored
- Signups are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the WALKED website and database for us.
- We share them only with the companies that run WALKED for us (like Cloudflare), when the law requires it, or if WALKED is sold or merged (with notice).
- We don’t sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Voice notes and write-ups
Voice notes: if you record voice notes in WALKED Field with no signal, the spoken parts are sent to Cloudflare (Workers AI) to be turned into text once you're back online. WALKED doesn't store the audio on its servers, Cloudflare doesn't keep it or use it to train AI models, and your original recording stays on your phone.
Report write-ups: the notes inspectors say or type for each item in WALKED Field are also sent to Cloudflare (Workers AI) to draft the report write-up, and they aren't stored by WALKED or Cloudflare or used to train AI models.
We only email you about the beta if you ticked the box on the form. You can opt out anytime by writing to [email protected].
Deleting your information
To see, correct or delete what you sent us, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We answer requests within 45 days.
